Very ambitious plans are being executed along the river front of the Chambal river as it flows through Kota.

We have applied for the plans under RTI but have been told they don't exist....

This misty photo taken on November 6th shows the development behind a high wall of a large garden on the east side (right bank) below the barrage. We think that an enormous statue of Goddess Chambal will be installed in the garden serving as a fountain. The high wall is designed as a flood barrier during monsoons if all gates of the Kota Barrage have to be opened. The only view of the river will be from the walkway along the top. There will be no ghats or open views.
